From the Pastor

In 1991 after I finished reading about “The Azusa Street Outpouring”, there was a stirring within me to experience God in that same way.

I had succumbed to the calling of God on my life and began what would be a long and arduous journey to preach the “Word of God”. I felt so inadequate to stand behind that “Sacred Desk” and speak into the souls of men, but I would find that God honors faith.  I‘m not talking about great swelling words of speech - but the obedient steps we take in following the plan of God for our lives.  I knew I had to start a church, but I had no idea how to get the keys in the ignition.  It was frightening for me to think about preaching three times a week, let alone all the other aspects of ministry.  God aligned us with just the right people at just the right time, and we celebrated 25 years of ministry in April 2016.  Let me cry aloud, “God did it!”

I thank God for all those who have mentored  me in the faith (directly and indirectly) , for without a Godly example it would be a much longer and burdensome journey.  I would also mention the hundreds of faithful saints who have stood with us and believed God was working through us.

Thanks be unto God for my wife Edna, who has been a faithful companion and friend, and it is comforting to know you have a prayer warrior supporting you along the way.  She is an anointed woman!

Thanks for my Uncle “C” and Aunt Juanita who have went on to be with the Lord.  Thanks to both of you for lovin’ me and always encouraging me in the faith.

Also I need mention my Aunt Lois, who was such a pillar of faith in our family - for I shudder to think where I would be today without the prayers of loved ones.
